Put the milk, apple cider, and baking soda in a blender.
Add the baking powder and vanilla extract and blend until the mixture is smooth.
Pour the mixture into a large glass jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, and up to 8 days.
The next day, you can either add the ice or add the boiling water to the glass jar.
Then, add the remaining ingredients, except the cinnamon and cloves, and mix.
